We are excited to welcome back Benjamin Murray and Julia Seidel as our head coaches for the 2021 season! Our coaches are passionate about swimming and helping to instill a love for swim team in our children. Learn a little more about each of our coaches below.
Coach Ben is returning for his third year of coaching with the Preston Village Tiger Sharks. He has enjoyed swimming since the age of four, currently swims at Raleigh Swimming Association, and plans to swim intramurally at either Purdue University or Texas A&M. His favorite events are the 50 free, 100 free, and 200 IM.
Coach Julia has been coaching the Preston Village Tiger Sharks since 2018, and she is excited to be returning for her third year as a head coach. She began swimming competitively during the Tiger Sharks' first season, when she was nine years old. She currently swims with the Raleigh Seahawks, and she plans to play club water polo (and study Industrial Engineering) next year at NC State University.
Coach Emma has been a junior coach with the Preston Village Tiger Sharks since 2017, and she is excited to be starting her first year as an assistant coach. She began swimming with the Tiger Sharks at the beginning, way back when it all began, when she was eight years old. She currently attends Green Hope High School, and enjoys volunteering at Marbles Kids Museum!
Coach Levin has been swimming for the Preston Village Tiger Sharks for 3 years and is ready to start coaching others in his first year as an assistant coach. He began swimming when he was 8, and now swims for the TAC Titans, with his favorite events being 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. He currently attends Green Hope High School.
Coach Ishaanvi has been with the Preston Village Tiger Sharks since 2017, as a swimmer and a junior coach. She has been swimming since she was 7 years old, and her favorite stroke is freestyle. She currently attends Green Hope High School.
